The melting department, equipped with extremely modern systems with variable frequency IGBT technology, is the beating heart of our foundry. IIn 2 electric furnaces – of 16 and 32 tons in capacity respectively – and in a 20 ton capacity oxy-fuel combustion furnace, we melt ferritic nodular cast iron, pearlitic nodular iron, grey cast iron and ductile iron for ADI. <\/strong>The total installed power is 12MW ( 5 electric and 7 thermic).<\/p>\r\n

Being able to rely on the performance of furnaces that benefit from different energy sources enables us to produce with remarkable flexibility, in terms of consumption and production efficiency. Guaranteeing a clean and healthy working environment is our priority. In compliance with current legal restrictions, the furnace fume extraction system is active throughout all production phases and the modern dust collection system, installed in 2018 with a total power of 120,000 nm3\/h, guarantees a clean environment at all times.<\/p>\r\n
